Does a service usually include body wash and polish or is it only the mechanical work that is included under service?
| Periodic Maintenance Service is much beyond wash & polish. During the periodic maintenance, depending upon the mileage the car has clocked, the lubricant is changed, the filter and other vehicle components are checked and replaced if not found up to the specifications. The car is checked for its overall performance on road including the transmission, clutch, suspension and brakes. Apart from these, the car is also inspected for the possible failure in near future due to wear and tear of the engine. Washing and cleaning is an integrated part of service. |
What is the duration of a basic car service?
The approximate time taken to do a periodic maintenance service only, ranges from 2 to 3.5 hours. However, depending on the mileage and the process that the car goes through from the receipt of the car to delivery to the customer may take longer. The other factors which could affect the duration that the car is in the Hub, also depends on the existing workload, quality checks and criticality of the other jobs identified during the process of inspection of the car. |

What could happen, if the recommended lubes and parts are not replaced in periodic service?
The lubes or any other part have a limited life span only. If these parts are not replaced within the specified time period there is wearing out of metallic parts which may results into break down. Therefore, it is recommended to keep to the service schedule of the manufacturer which has these specifications. |
What is Value Added Services (VAS) and what are its benefits?
Value Added Services (VAS) includes beautification, performance enhancement and accessories (Tyre and Battery). The car detailing products enhance the looks of the car. Products like the anti-rust coat protect the under body of the car. The performance enhancement products increase the performance of the car. |
Do you think wheel alignment or balancing should be checked regularly?
If vehicle is not aligned appropriately it could cause pre mature wear out of the tyre or the vehicle could get pulled to one side. Lack of balancing leads to vibrations of the car while driving. Balancing must be done before tyre rotation or in case of any vibrations. Wheel alignment is required in case of new tyre change or in case of any complaints of pulling or abnormal wear of tyres. |
